What is Flink Knapping ?
Flint-knapping is the ancient craft of shaping brittle, silica-rich stone—such as flint, obsidian, or chert—into sharp tools, weapons, or arrowheads through controlled fracturing (lithic reduction). By striking or pressing the stone with tools like antlers or stones, knappers remove flakes to create sharp edges, representing the earliest known technology.
