Tim Lukinuk,manager of Amethyst Mine Panorama, was our presenter for this event which examined the formation of Amethyst in Northwestern Ontario. Amethyst has been used by indigenous peoples as tools in the past. Current day uses include jewellery and garden and fireplace centrepieces.

Tim brought a wide range of large, beautiful samples to show throughout the presentation and many are visible in the event photo album link above.
